Kate Howard’s review published on Letterboxd:
I laughed so hard throughout this movie at the absurd hilarity of it all, while still serving a great commentary on conformity and the nuclear families living in the suburbs.
I was on the edge of my seat when certain scenes started to adopt the tone of a horror film, which I wasn't expecting and was genuinely shocked by how much it managed to make me cringe or fill me with fear.
Deboer and Luebbe cite Twin Peaks, John Waters and Edward Scissorhands as inspiration, and if you are a fan of any of those things you will have the time of your life watching the story unfold.
(This review is all over the place but I can't stop thinking about this film, I'll clean this up later)
