    Sound of Metal

Sound of Metal has some of the best sound design I’ve ever heard. My mom has been slowly going deaf, and when we started hearing from Ruben’s POV my mom said that’s exactly what she hears, and it helped me understand it.

The story is pretty simple, a drummer loses his hearing and we watch him cope, but it’s so much more. The conversations Ruben has with Joe are truly fantastic, and enhanced by the incredible performances. Riz Ahmed gives…

    Pixar Ranked

This might be Pixar’s most gorgeous movie to date. The character design, the worlds, and some sequences are truly jaw dropping. It also might be their most mature movie to date, tackling some very deep themes. It’s a very thought provoking movie that gets you thinking about your passions, where your life is going, and where you’ve already been. The story takes some unexpected turns, and I was throughly entertained from start to finish. It’s funny, thought provoking, and gorgeous. Pixar really swung for the fences on this one, but I think it’s another win for them.

This movie is fucking wild. It should be nominated for best documentary, and best editing (it won’t get best editing but it should). It’s never boring, and I kept finding myself leaning forward in anticipation to see what would happen next. If you haven’t seen this yet I highly recommend it.

    Outside the Wire

Predictable, cheesy, and at times plain boring. If you’ve seen any Netflix original action-war movie then you know exactly what you’re getting into here. They try and throw some twists and turns at you, but it just doesn’t work. The action is entertaining enough that you can just turn your brain off, and enjoy the scene, but there’s no emotional weight to anything that’s happening. Been there, seen that.

Interesting documentary with some cringe scripted moments. Also I didn’t hear them mention Letterboxd so imma keep using it

  • Tenet

I May not have understood everything immediately but when I got home my brother and I started analyzing and trying to figure out exactly what happened. I love when a movie does that. I’m excited to rewatch it. Yes this is a flawed movie but the way it made me feel was something that I loved. I thought Interstellar was extremely flawed the first time I saw it and now it’s one of my Favourites so I will be seeing Tenet again this weekend.
