    holy crap

first off, the soundtrack and colours of this film are phenomenal. Both not only matched but also enhanced each scene.

The story is gut wrenching. A bit slow to start but once it finds its rhythm it does not stop. The first half is tense and loud and shocking and the second half comes in and rips your heart out. Multiple times. The messages are powerful. Dealing with topics like guilt, loss, anger, love, and forgiveness in such…

This was such an interesting film wow...I’ve had relatives deal with cognitive decline and yet I’ve never fully understood how difficult it is to endure. This film was very eye opening and showed how taxing it can be emotionally and mentally for not only the individual but for their family as well.Β

The decision to shoot this from the father’s pov wasΒ very smart. It offers a perspective that feels personal. I felt just as confused as the father for the…

Just another early 2000s romcom/coming of age movie...I love it! so cheesy but it’s funny and overall a great watch!Β

Also I’m adding half a star to my rating because it’s my sisters 3rd favourite movie. She was so excited that I was finally watching this haha

Mrs. White is my favourite character LOL she has so many iconic lines. I tried to pick one for this review but I couldn't decide so here's a handful of them

β€œHow many husbands have you had?”
    ”Mine or other women’s?”

β€œYes I did it. I killed Yvette. I hated her so much it...it....it...flames...flames, on the side of my face, breathing...breathless...heaping breathes...heaping”

β€œWell it’s a matter of life after death. Now that he’s dead, I have a life”

Great script and delivery, fun characters, and a beautiful setting!

"It's amazing how an idea can take a hold, really bring a person down"

This was such a crazy, tense and uncomfortable yet intriguing film.

The cast is phenomenal. By far Jason Bateman's best performance. I'm so used to seeing him play comical roles in various movies and shows but this displayed how seriously talented he is. Great performances by Rebecca Hall and Joel Edgerton as well!

The pacing is a tad on the slow side as it's very much a slow-burn type film, but it works really well and the twisted ending makes it worth the wait.
