An interesting film from Cronenberg Junior. His second full length movie and solid one. Haven't seen Antiviral but that will change after watching this movie.
Visualy pleasing and a fascinating story, playing around with similar themes like Videodrom but in a different time period and a sons perspective on the subject. Also, I'm very happy to see that Brandon got some filming thinking and skills from his dad, especially in the gore department. Like they say, apple doesn't fall far from the tree and thats not a bad thing at all. But despite all that, Brandon is still pretty young in the film industry so Possessor does have a few flaws and I can't blame him fo that. I would love to see a sequel and I don't say that often. If a sequal does show up, we definitely need to see the bigger picture of the company, how was it created, how it works and how does it pick its hitman subjects. Another thing was that it was quite slow pace and a bit boring at times but the last 40 minutes picked up the pace.
Overall, good movie, enjoyed it and I'm excited to see with what Junior comes out next. If he continues in this direction, I'm sure there is a bright future ahead of him.
