An interesting concept thwarted by mediocre execution, bad writing/character motivations, and a few dreary and absurd moments. In short, a typical Shyamalan movie.
Plot holes? Yeah, you know you're gonna get bunch of those in a Shyamalan movie. Even Alex Wolff, the movie's only decent actor, couldn't prevent the horrifying script from happening.
It's hard to believe that this movie was created by the same person who made "The Conjuring."
James wan somehow assorted action, sci-fi and horror genre into one single movie and it was fricking hilarious.
