This was so cute and such a perfect children's film. I was surprised when the filmmaker mentioned in the Q&A that they don't really make children's films in Vietnam. Hopefully this will be successful and change that.
I really liked the way that they incorporated the source material into this. I have not watched it but I'm assuming based on how it's used this wasn't a straightforward adaptation of the tv show which I like. We're currently in an unfortunate period with so much being rebooted and remade so I always appreciate it when filmmakers do something new with an old source.
