I actually don’t mind the stylization and could have been down with a bubblegum version of a 70s exploitation r*pe revenge movie... if that was what this is. Instead it’s an hour of setting itself up as something subversive just to hand the reigns back over to the system that it’s criticizing. Carey Mulligan is great and is really acting what she was given, but this movie doesn’t have any idea of what it wants to be.
