    This is the kind of Tashlinesque pop-art secret agent spoof that a lot of other directors must have wanted to make. Generally these things are pretty duddish but this one has so many inventive gags - and such solid technical competence- that it works. It’s as good as one of these is likely to be without a really good star or a Bava at the helm.
