watched 2 days ago and haven’t gotten a chance to log. i really dig the style of the film and the quality is pretty much outstanding. i think the family dynamics are truely the heart of the film, and without them the film probably would’ve been a lot more dull.

The worst of the worst. Regardless of the revolting scenery and themes everything just felt so poor and rushed. Not even funny or witty. No genius, it’s just plain bad. I hate every aspect of the film and am not going to let it waste anymore of my time, end of review

I’ve been told by others that this film is only impressive because of its 60,000 dollar budget, but i think it’s way more than that. The performances are so underrated and the bad camera quality make the film so realistic. I was nervous for most of the film but i never really felt terrified until the final sequence. I do think they should’ve shown the witch but i can understand why they didn’t, budget wise. This film is exhausting to watch and probably won’t re-visit it any time soon.

Reminder that someone like Tarantino or Fincher could never make something like this

finally watched it...not much i can say that hasn’t been said 1000 times. the underlying feature that really ruined it for me was the main theme that was being thrown around through out the whole film, which was race. when looking at the director of the film, it just feels racist, knowing that sam levinson puts all of his issues as a director into a black lead. A white man trying to explain/interpret racism leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
