Lea’s review published on Letterboxd:
Assassination Nation, but make it bad. I didn’t expect much, but this film does almost everything wrong— from the laughably poor writing to the overzealous camera movements, and especially including the excessively on-the-nose moral of the story (that, uh... frat boys aren’t actually human?). I do appreciate what they were attempting, but it was just not very tastefully done. And for once, can we PLEASE get some characters who have more than two brain cells?! I must say that it was kind of funny though, even if I don’t think that was intentional. Overall, not a particularly well-made film, but also not the worst I’ve seen this year as it was at least decently entertaining.
