Hideaki Anno has been my most anticipated director for a long time. Between Neon Genesis Evangelion and all of its sequel films, Shin Godzilla and even his live action debut Love & Pop which was on my Japanuary list although I didn't get around to it at the time - I will soon! - I've been meaning to dig into his work for so long, yet I've completely avoided it.
