Summer 100: #53
This is funny, entertaining, and disappointing all at the same time.
The vibe and feeling of this film is great. It’s atmosphere is enveloping and overall really great. I liked the characters a lot, Brad’s and Leo’s chemistry was amazing and I liked their friendship. I feel like all the characters here were enjoyable and cute, honestly. And some parts were really really REALLY funny. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE the feeling, aesthetic, comedy, writing, and chemistry. I really really do.
But the storyline....huh? Everything was happening and kept building towards something but that something was never clear. Felt like the ending was a total cop out and huge letdown. Wish there was a clear story or reason for anything to happen.
This was funny and interesting and VERY entertaining most of the time, but the ending and general storyline were pretty shit. Really disappointed with this one.
And honestly, the entire Sharon Tate character could have been left out. Yeah, I said it.
