i liked this quite a lot! it had a lot to say but nothing that hasn’t been said in a few better movies but still engaging and the core performances are so so good. incredible use of priyanka chopra somehow??? big marty scorsese vibes but the netflix of it all in terms of how it was shot is a huge bummer. 

i hope white americans watching this realize it’s about capitalism writ large and not just india but the reaction to parasite tells me not to get my hopes up :)

spends 75% of the movie making a compelling case for why the criminal justice system is unreformable and then carefully says “jk the SYSTEM is good, it just has bad people in it sometimes!” get wrecked idiot. direction of this is also a huge snoozefest!!
