This is a stellar period piece charged with a LOT of eroticism. Some of the graphic sex scenes feel a bit disengenous but I think the fantastic writing makes up for that. The set design and soundtrack were beautiful, and the non linear narrative did a fantastic job of making the story more interesting and getting the character development that Wook is so good at.
Also felt to me a bit reminiscent of an Ibsen or Shaw theater play.
