Boyhood ★★★★

Classic Linklater. A delicious slice of life where time is the only event, and the joy is in the small moments. Despite the occasional cringe "wow, so deep bro" moments* that Linklater can't help but sprinkle in, this is a really charming film and doesn't feel nearly as long as it is.

Nicole: "You know how everyone's always saying, "Seize the moment"? I don't know, I'm kinda thinkin' it's the other way around. You know, like, the moment seizes us."

Mason: "Yeah. Yeah, I know. It's constant, the moments, it's just... it's like always right now, you know?"
