This was pure cheesiness and fun, and I’m so here for it!! A lot of queer movies tend to fall into too much seriousness and drama, and while those films are all totally valid and great, sometimes we just need a bit of lighthearted fun as well. It’s awesome to see a good, 2000s style rom-com (one of my favourites when I’m in need of a pick-me-up) with LGBTQ+ representation, so it’s safe to say that I adored this. Extremely wholesome content, and I loved the mother-daughter relationship just as much as the relationship between Wil and Vivian. It tackles a lot of issues while still maintaining the right balance of drama and comedy. A really lovely movie and a great recommendation for me!
