I finished watching this at 4:30 this morning after binging the whole thing in one go, and honestly this was some really great, compelling television. I’m always impressed by everything Anya Taylor-Joy does, and this was no exception. The series was oddly gripping for a story about chess, I literally know nothing about it but they certainly made me care a whole bunch about the game and the characters who played it. There were especially a few scenes in the later episodes that made me really emotional. I enjoyed the dynamics between all of the characters and the found family aspect between Beth and the other chess players. Cinematography and design was really fantastic as well, every episode looked really beautiful. I don’t know what else to say, this was really fantastic stuff and is definitely something I would watch again.
