Nolan finally found the film which wasn’t able to contain his concept.
Whether or not the concept just isn’t suited for entertaining action cinema or Nolan wasn’t able to pull it off in an engaging way, I don’t know.
Inception took a high concept (a potentially confusing one) and delivered it to us with mind blowing visuals that sold the idea beautifully, as well as giving it to us within an engaging story.

So much is right - mainly the groundwork. The new cast, the feel, the vibe, where the characters are in their journeys. But as a film it never gets to breathe. When it isn't retreading A New Hope's story beats, the action feels stilted and trying to get away with it because it's Star Wars. EpVIII is where this franchise is going to take flight - I can feel it.
