A noisy, poorly written missfire with lackluster performances, bland direction and horrible CGI effects. The dialogue is just unbearable. The intention clearly to make this enjoyable, but the Hal Jordan is just an unlikeable protagonist. Peter Sarsgaard is hugely miscast as the villain and the effects on the character are too ridiculous. None of the characters have reasonable motivation for their actions. I refuse to believe the director behind Goldeneye, The Mask of Zorro and Casino Royale directed this mess.

An incredibly well-crafted science fiction epic with jaw-dopping visuals, smart world-building, breathtaking cinematography, slowly paced, but an always engaging story, brilliant performances (Rebecca Ferguson is a goddess), an unforgettable musical score, spectacular action sequences and masterful direction. Jason Momoa as Duncan Idaho brought a lot of levity to the picture and his relationship with Paul was so heartwarming. Josh Brolin…

My issues with the film is the last third and a certain scene in the beginning, but all things considered it was much better than what I was initially expecting. Still I would not call it a good film mainly because of what happens in the third act. I did not…

    Sweet Girl

    ★★

Sweet Girl wastes a story that could have been emotionally resonant and some solid performances from Jason Momoa and Isabela Merced. The leading actors have believable chemistry as father and daughter. The late plot twist is laughably bad. The plot of this movie is overly complex and ridiculous. Sweet Girl is a generic action thriller and a typically poorly made and forgettable Netflix movie.
