Somehow, tonight was the perfect night to watch this.

    God this movie is fun

  • Candyman

The opening title sequence was pretty sick.

I liked the score quite a bit too.

Most things were cool and well done, but it just didn't work as an effective horror film. Zero tension and no interesting/likable characters. Darkness ≠ scary... I wish it did.

Also, most of the acting felt a bit off? Idk.

Hopefully this resonates with other people and I was just expecting too much from a reboot/sequel.

  • The Wild Goose Lake

    The Wild Goose Lake

An incredibly bleak neo-noir film, rooted in the culture it actually exists in.

There's something so refreshing about a film leaning into its own world, instead of trying to build itself into the Hollywood ideals and expectations for an audience.

Absolutely gorgeous film. The sound design is also very well done.

    Probably in my top 50?

Let's make some more noir pictures

    Feel good summer flick.

Was pretty shocked with some of the deeper cut references.

If we could avoid spilling the beans about making things, that would be great 👍

Italian dubbing just has a flavor to it.

Sorry y'all have to see this in your feed

Liked most of it, but I got a little bored with some of the later scenes. The ending left me quite unsatisfied, and I think that was intentional?

This film wears it's influences on its sleeve, for better or for worse.

Adam Driver is reason enough to watch this.

  • Spirited Away

    Spirited Away

Kinda feel like the green knight got more than a few things from this.

    Completely immersive filmmaking.

What am I going to be for Halloween this this year??

Missed the 5 star when I started to feel the runtime. Lots and lots to talk about with this one. Funny and mentally stimulating - captures most of what I want to say.

Looked great and sounded even better.

  • Maniac

    80s masterpiece.

The graveyard sequence is so much fun!

They don't make em like they used to.

Early RED cameras have my heart.

An absolute delight. This is one of those films that is actually good, and I'm not just rating it highly because I'm easy to please.

Everyone dealing with personal trauma and looking for love... 😙🤌
