I keep forgetting to write my review for this movie, but I finally got around to reviewing this. The Secret Life of Walter Mitty is, first off, one of the most gorgeous movies of all time, not just this decade. The beautiful visuals, the camera movement, the soundtrack, it all makes for one gorgeous and breathtaking experience that will leave you in awe. At first I was really not that impressed with where I thought this was going and to be fair it was what I expected, but at times the movie really caught me off guard. It's message is fairly simple, but it's when that is executed surprisingly well and it's something we can all either relate to or come to appreciate. It's essentially a movie about appreciating life and all the important people in it. And it's done with some terrific cinematography, some stylized editing and a soundtrack that will have you on the edge of your seat.
Ben Stiller is fantastic as an actor and his comedic delivery is most of the time great, but I believe he really shines as a director, especially in this movie. The rest of the cast, is as well, pretty great. But The Secret Life of Walter Mitty's strength is it's fast paced action, it's beautiful visuals and inspirational story.
