    The two halves are distinct but obviously intended to serve each other. The message is… not subtle. But you aren’t necessarily going to a movie like this for the finer points, and the track that gets laid in the first half is richly rewarded with emotional stakes in the second. Both leads and dads are very good, and while the songs aren’t as good as those in Nayakan, there are a couple bangers.
