MAKE MORE FILMS EDGAR
Well shit the bed, a Netflix film that I didn't think sucked. There may only be a handful of such things that exist but this, for me, was one of them.
For the most part I thought this had a genuinely foreboding atmosphere and the surprisingly moving story was well acted, complete with some pretty vicious violence. The less said about the CGI rubbish near the end the better but overall I'm honestly staggered to not be slagging it off.
Never has the old adage 'always be nice to your hairdresser, they have scissors' been so true. I'll never even question my barber ever again.
Appropriately enough this was such a gorgeous film, the lighting and score really dripped with style and Najarra Townsend completely owned it. She resembles a more glamorous Hannah Fry as the titular lonely psychopath scalping her way through depression and desperation, and though the ending is visible as soon as a specific character is introduced I thoroughly enjoyed watching everything fall into place.
They're missing a trick if there's not a director's cut released at some point too. Because puns.
