Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End

Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End ★★★★

"It's just good business."

Opens with a smash cut from the Disney logo to a noose and ends with the "Left-aligned" skirting the edges of a vortex fighting one another, before turning their cannons on the business elites pulling the strings. In essence, it's all games of love, death, and life during an age of proto-capitalism as lesson for a time of outright corporate decadence. The takeaway: differences set aside in a full unleashing of the world and its peoples forces. An ode to the joy of destruction and all that lives in its wake. As much Verbinski's Noroît as it is his Duelle.
