Max Kearsley’s review published on Letterboxd:
It took less than 24 hours for my review of ‘Nomadland’ to become redundant. After a year of average new releases due to the pandemic, I’ve had two fantastic films in the last two days of the year. Maybe 2021 is destined for good things. This is the best film of the year.
Pixar has genuinely outdone themselves here in all aspects. Their storytelling, character work, themes and messaging have never been better, and they’ve made a genuinely fantastic film here. Check it out as soon as you get the chance.
Also their animation quality is genuinely a flex at this point. It’s getting a bit absurd how good it is.
