Max Turner’s review published on Letterboxd:
I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything quite like this film it just has so much style and heart. First of all the cinematography is absolutely amazing and the whole film just looks stunning. Every performance is great but the main characters are obviously the stand outs, they give such believable performances that are funny and heartbreaking at the same time.
This film handles so many issues in such a personal and interesting way and it really works. The camerawork is absolutely incredible and really sucks you into the amazing environments of the film. I can’t wait to rewatch this because there is just so much to unpack and to think this is a relatively new director just makes me excited for his future work.
Also the soundtrack is absolutely amazing it really helps you relate to the characters and get invested into the world of the film. There is such a contrast between hilarious scenes and nail-bitingly intense ones and this just makes all of these things even more effective.
