Being a huge fan of the book it is hard for me to judge this movie solely on its own merits. I found it to be a visually stunning re-imagining that captured the essence of the book quite wonderfully. I'll be seeing it again in the very near future.

I do wish that they hadn't used CGI characters inside the game; it was had to get emotionally invested in them, but I don't know how else they would have brought that world to life otherwise.
