Just like the first film the protagonist in this film tries to undercover the local ledgend that is Candyman. Yahya's performance in this was incredible, he did an amazing job. Parris delivered a solid performance as well. The cinematography was beautiful, along with the soundtrack, and the camera work really makes this film feel creepy.
There is one thing in the film that made my anxiety go high not going to give anything away. I did not see the ending coming, feel that it was rushed, and could have been executed better. However, DaCosta did a great job on Peele's script, and delivered a good film. I think watching it on the big screen helped with that. I think I would have enjoyed it less if I had seen it at home.
Recommend - yes if you are a fan of the first film.
