Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 ★★★★

You can’t go wrong with an incredible ensemble like the Guardians (and that does include Yondu and Nebula), a killer soundtrack, and cosmic-arcade-like action sequences with super well developed character arcs for our main guys (@Rocket and Peter) to boot.
But you can go wrong with an underdeveloped villain and general pacing of parallel plot lines (notably that not much happens on Ego’s planet until the very end, meanwhile Rocket and company are making serious moves).
That said, the film is still an insanely fun, MCU boundary pushing experience, in terms of all the places and beings featured, and low key is emotionally wrecking (@Yondu’s funeral sequence). In conclusion: Baby Groot is a freaking delight and Guardians Inferno song is a hilarious bop. This movie is a GOOD TIME.
