Jacinta ★★★★½

A truly intimate and honest observation of addiction, generational violence and the time and space needed for a person to decide to value themself. The three generations of mother-daughter relationships provide heartbreaking and hopeful critiques and comparisons about how the central character, Jacinta, choses to live her life as a daughter seeking the validation and love from her mother, no matter the consequences, and a mother who makes painful decisions to end the cycle of destruction and abuse with her daughter.
