I feel bad rating a movie anything less than 3.... sorry movie:(
Regardless of if this was completely accurate or unbiased, this was a great, feel-good biopic. Saniyya Sidney and Demi Singleton are so talented, and Will Smith obviously brought a ton of depth to his performance. Aunjanue Ellis, as a supporting actress, brought so much strength and quiet bravery to her character, she deserves some accolades too.
The whole idea that he predicted all of their successes, especially in the scene with Serena, that really got me. Tears all over the place. Loved it.
I had been begging my mom to watch this movie with me for WEEKS and she said it was tooooo expensive but s/o to @maya and the lee family for lending me their Amazon prime rental
20 minutes into the movie my mom goes “I love this movie. It’s like a Lifetime movie but..... good.”
Couldn’t agree more. From beginning to end this was such a joy and complete THRILL to watch. You will NEVER see any of it coming.
Also petition for Bo Burnham to play the love interest in every rom/com thriller from now on
