  • Zombie Flesh Eaters

    Zombie Flesh Eaters

The overall plot is typical of the 70s & 80s Italian gore movies - in that some scenes are downright silly. Being chased by zombies and you fall down? Let's have a kiss. That sort of thing.

It doesn't take away from this being an enjoyable zombie flick, with some good cinematography and great Euro-synth music playing at all the right moments. Starting out as a mystery adventure and devolving into survival horror with a voodoo theme, it's a great way…

  • Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives

Friday the 13th Part VI: Jason Lives

"Why'd they have to dig up Jason? Some folk have a strange idea of entertainment!"

Yes, yes we do, and I love it. Jason is back with a vengeance.

  • Rawhead Rex

    Rawhead Rex

Many horror fans dislike this movie, as does Clive Barker (Rex is based on one of his short stories) - but I think it's a very enjoyable monster flick. You can see they had a very small budget to work with, but this is a fun movie and the cast do well with what they were given.

  • Terrifier

    Terrifier

This film is violent, brutal and unrelenting. It's a simple formula, dispensing with things like motives, and instead focusing on keeping the dread, bloody and body count flowing.

Some fantastic practical effects here, gore fans will not be disappointed by what Art The Clown brings to the show.

The cast all do a great job, and while the usual few "why didn't you do this?!" moments happen, it's a great horror flick that is worthy of your time.

  • The Wraith

    The Wraith

A solid action movie with a superb rock & metal soundtrack.

  • Lake Placid

    Lake Placid

A decent giant crocodile film, with some good effects - but the star(s) of the show is the cast, or rather, the interaction & dialogue between the characters.

A great script with some witty banter, good effects (some practical, which is always great to see). The rest of the series is totally forgettable, but give the first one a go.

"Quit hitting me! " - "Stop throwing heads at me! "
