I like movies with blobs. This movie has a dessert blob. It's called The Stuff and it's out to kill us all, after we eat it of course. Director Larry Cohen mixes 80's era consumerism, amazing cheap special effects and retro sci-fi paranoia to create something wonderful. The idea of alien dessert was enough to hook me.
