This was a lot cuter and sadder than I originally expected. Viggo is incredibly great in this film and also a DILF.
The children are truly icons. Little anarchist icons.

This rating might go higher or lower as I have more time to think about it. But wow, I haven’t been this hooked or shocked by a film in a while.
I do think this film is more nuanced than some may believe and for the most part it handles the subject matter very well. All the scenes are gorgeous and the score is fantastic so I’m sad it didn’t get its well deserved nominations for that. Beyond the ending…
