m. h. murray’s review published on Letterboxd:
as a struggling filmmaker, the scene in which margot robbie's sharon tate goes to the cinema to watch her performance with an audience touched me on a very deep level.
it felt both emotionally triggering and profoundly relatable to watch sharon's face fill with pride as her performance is well-received by an audience... isn't that what we're all chasing at the end of the day?
filmmakers, writers, artists, painters, musicians, etc—we all want to move and affect people, to make them laugh, and cry, and think... and there is no feeling like the feeling you get watching other people engage with your work. it's the closest we can get to magic.
