Chris Rock once said that in therapy, you're supposed to present the worst version of yourself, the person you hate, the part of you that you can't stand. I think this is true whether you're Will Hunting or Tony Soprano!

Incidentally, its fascinating how both Good Will Hunting and The Sopranos came out in the late 90s; both featuring complex characters from a rough upbringing, each with bespectacled therapists who crack through their tough exterior! Sean Maguire and Dr Melfiโ€ฆ

If you've seen many high school movies from Hollywood, you'll know how they get the actors to talk in some boring awkward slang. Scroll through most high school shit on Netflix; It's like these old aged producers wanna market it to teens, but have no conception of youth culture!

Casino Royale is a diamond that is truly forever. Much like how diamonds are formed under the perfect conditions of heat and pressure, Royale seeks to bend and break the character of James Bond into a finer element. Its Bond Girl psychoanalyzes Bond when they first meet on a train, poking holes at the detached archetype. Its villain tortures Bond's balls as if castating the character for all his sadistic, misogynistic 50-year-old history. It just flips all the Bond tropesโ€ฆ

Being James Bond is an interesting exploration of a iconic character reimagined for the 21st century, as well as the journey of its actor.

Throughout the runtime, you hear voice-over from Daniel Craig and members of the Broccoli family (who own the production company responsible for the series). The camera never does that cross-cutting to Craig or the Broccoli members like in most docs; it's all voice-over showing stills and footage from the production to marketing stages of each Craigโ€ฆ
