A total gem. Simultaneously hysterical and cringe inducing in the best possible way. The score leans into horror in a great way that does wonders here. Plus at a super lean 77 mins this is such a great quick watch. Can’t say enough good things about this!
It’s too early to tell if this really is going to be a cult classic, but it certainly feels destined to become one. A terrifically hopeless, ambitious, and surreal lovecraftian horror film. That opening 20 minute prologue is utterly terrifying and so spectacular.
Tense, paranoid, and profoundly lonely. Coppola’s 1974 is such a flex and may be the best year for a director in film history considering he made this and The Godfather Part II in the same year. Truly brilliant stuff from all involved. And that score!
