MJordan’s review published on Letterboxd:
A miracle -- and I think a better movie overall than the first one. I think the point is a lot clearer, it goes for substance over shock, has fewer unwitting participants, and is just riotously funny.
But the big difference is Maria Bakalova, who is Oscar-level good. Like, where the fuck do you find somebody like that? Do you reach out with "I'm looking for an undiscovered comic genius who can hold her own with Sasha Baron Cohen and do even riskier shit out in 'the wild')? It's a remarkable performance and I just want to see them be the new Abbott and Costello.
2020 has been very rough, but it gave us, against all the odds, a funny Borat sequel. Nutty!
