    "You had me at hello"

Its part romantic comedy, part sports film. A very weird mix of genres that Cameron Crowe somehow makes it work. It's a seriously endearing and optimistic film.

Tom Cruise and Renee Zellweger have insane and magnetic chemistry with each other and they play off so well off each other. Then there's the sports aspect that too is great due to an iconic performance from Cuba Gooding Jr and Regina King. Also, that kid actor was…

    Eggers is the champion

A foreboding and atmospheric film that really is insanely creepy. All the cast were amazing. Cinematography was brilliant too.

    So, 4/5

  • A Quiet Place Part II

    A Quiet Place Part II

    ★★★★½

Who says sequels cannot be better? They obviously haven't seen A Quiet Place Part II

The movie has two opening sequences and both of them are bangers. The way they put forth such an incredibly tense and gruesome moments was amazing.

The movie never drags at all. The performances are brilliant too. Cillian Murphy is an amazing addition too.

Oh man, the cinematography was a visual candy. The shots especially near the ending was beautiful to look at.

Overall, a much better and intense sequel where it gambles it all in crafting such intense and dreadful sequences and wins.

    So, 4.5/5

  • Barking Dogs Never Bite

    Barking Dogs Never Bite

    ★★★

Bong Joon-Ho's first film, Barking Fogs Never Bite is an amateur effort but it does contain his usual style of dark comedy.

The film felt long, more than it should have. Some scenes dragged a lot

    So, 3/5

Bong Joon-Ho is a genre himself

For real though, he mixes genre like it's a fruit punch. Absurd and dark humour, a looming mystery and melancholic drama. The real thing though is when he subverts expectations hard when near the end of the film, something drastic occurs that changes your whole perception.

    So, 4.5/5

  • Arrival

    Arrival

    ★★★★½

Even though this film is not perfect, I am at a loss of words. A story crafted so well and delicately, a story so tragic in its roots, you see it coming at you hard.

Amy Adams gives another incredible performance along with the other cast. The visual effects are a sight to behold too. A masterwork by Denis. Truly, this director is becoming one of my favorites going on.

  • The Grey

    The Grey

    ★★★½

A snowy thriller showcasing themes of man vs nature and featuring Liam Neeson and wolves. It's a great film but the pacing is all over the place.

    So, 3.5/5

  • The King

    The King

    ★★★★½

A riveting period piece detailing the early ascension of the throne by King Henry V. It's such a birlliant film.

Timothee Chalamet dominates the film with his powerful and domineering performance even though his appearance is a bit skinny.

The story is well-written. The characters are all developed. They contribute to the story.

The cinematography and set design are what makes this film settle. The amazing set pieces depicting very violent and brutal fights.

That ending too was amazing. A very smart subversion with a late twist that challenges every decision the story and its characters chose.

    So, 4.5/5

    The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3

    ★★★½

Wanna get this out of the way before reviewing this. The original was far better and superior than this one.

Anyways, first of all the modern take on the story is a nice way to change things up such as the introduction of the internet and stuff. The performances of Denzel Washington is spot on. He never fails to impress me even in a bad movie. He is always the highlight.

Even though the film is hugely entertaining, it's still…
