    ★★★★

What a great movie. The Coens continue to hit it out of the park everytime it seems. An epic tale of a mafia advisor trying to play both sides and coming out the top.

Some great characters, good acting and a breezy musical score stitches this movie into a great time spent.

The pacing was a bit janky and surprisingly the humor of The Coens was a bit off here. It felt a bit forced sometimes to laugh at

    So, 4/5

  • Out of Sight

    ★★★★

Such a slick and cool romantic crime comedy film. Starring Clooney and Lopez who share absolutely electric chemistry and sexual tension from the get-go.

The story is really refined with its dialogues and narrative structure. The characters are all their own personas. It's a fun movie to watch.

Also, it doesn't hurt to see Jennifer Lopez look so Gorgeous

  • Moneyball

    ★★★★

I don't even know the first thing about baseball but watching this film made me realize that it was not about the sport, it's about the main character and his story. A truly great performance by Brad Pitt supported by a unique Hill performance.

The story is as always very tight and spontaneous from Sorkin. The direction is great. All over a very well-done film with extra kudos going to the ending. It was amazing.

Baseball might be the reason why this film didn't gel with me as yours truly doesn't have any clue about baseball and how it's played.

    So, 4/5

  • The Invisible Man

    The Invisible Man

    ★★★★

An outsanding science fiction film that still holds up to this day.

An incredibly crafted and well-acted film that was a gateway to such terrific visual effects. You would think the visual effects would be a product of its time but it's surprisingly not. It had very innovative effects put on the screen.

And for a movie so old, it has a high body count which was very controversial. It defied rules and came out the top as a success.…

  • Black Widow

    Black Widow

    ★★★★

What a great ending to Natasha's story. Since we all know her faith, this film also is quite sad knowing the tragic outcome of the character but it manages to set aside that and beautifully dives into her life, a life filled with so many complex characters and stories so rich.

Scarlett Johansson gives her apparent final appearance as the iconic Black Widow and bows down with many claps from the audience. She is the heart of this story through…

An instant and classic icy thriller of sorts. Noir is seeped into the film along with a great set of characters of different personalities who most often than not clash with each other.

  • All the President's Men

    All the President's Men

    ★★★★

A well-made investigative film that focuses on the infamous Watergate Scandal.

I had to do some research before the film to have a little insight on the incident before diving into this film. As I am not an American, this event was really something of just knowing the name but not the details.

Anyways, it's a fantastic piece of work driven by some great acting from the cast.

I loved the newsroom and the production and set design. Felt like…

  • The Poseidon Adventure

    The Poseidon Adventure

    ★★★★

Watched this on a rainy day so, the experience was more fun since the story is set in the ocean

  • Vivarium

    Vivarium

    ★★★★

Vivarium is a Twilight Zone-esque story captured into a movie. The premise is really intriguing and scary.

The story builds up on this couple looking for a home but instead they stumble upon something sinister and inescapable.

The characters are especially the highlight of the film. Though Eisenberg's character felt a bit dull and useless as the film went on but Poots' character was really strong.

The production design and the set design is what makes this film so, so…

  • The Taking of Pelham One Two Three

The Taking of Pelham One Two Three

    ★★★★

A smart and very thrilling crime film. It has such an influence to so many new heist films. That's how you can see how iconic it is.

The story never lets go of its pace, the characters are very engaging. The only problem of the film is it underuses its hostages. They are just so one-dimensional and plain objectives needed to be rescued.

Also, the movie features such a cheeky ending, it leaves you smiling

    So, 4/5
