My Indian friend strikes again with another great reccomendation.
If Reservoir Dogs was the aftermath of a failed bank robbery this is the before, during and after of a failed robbery. Boasting an outstanding cast, each of the actors deliver great and simply iconic peroformances.
Catchy musical score and a great screenplay with just fantastic dialogues boosts the film to greatness
But man with all that postive things aside, the movie has some very weak aspects. Horrendous editing and Unnecessary…
I have watched a lot of other country films but when it comes to India, I hesitate a bit because of their length and the grand scale musicals they have, a thing that I inherently dislike. So, I have an Indian friend who is also a film buff like me rec me some great films by India.
Ludo was one of them. A quirky group of characters whose stories collide with each other in a most violent way.
Although the film has a cliched plot it executes the story well enough to grip the audiences. Also the three leads were a treat to watch especially Lee Byung Hun as the cold and sinister fraud hiding behind the facade of a cool and calm business man.
Also, just an additional thing the film also had a similar vibe to "The Big Short" , a film thats kind of similar to this one
At first, I thought this was going…
I have no words to describe this film. But I will try though.
The film's about a teacher going through her daily life doing mundane activities. Along the way, she strikes up an affair with one of her students.
The story falls into the drama genre, a genre that I dont usually like that much because I find them boring and too long for a film. But Wet Season was such a heartfelt and subtle film about life. The tour…
A rich film in story and acting. Asako I and II is a story about an unusual love traingle. Although I have an aversion to long dramas this film is unique
Asako is a girl who meets Kaji, a mystical boy who she dates for a while before he leaves her while buying bread. Some years later she meets a boy named Ryoji who is the carbon copy of Kaji but he is a charming but a little dull character.…
Well the jokes on you, Jake Gyllenhaal cause I don't have a girlfriend
Robert De Niro's Versatility is impeccable. Whenever he collaborates with Scorsese, he always turns in some of the most beautiful performamnces ever. This film has got to be one of the best thrillers ever.
The best actors from this film were undoubtedly Niro and Nolte. Niro as an psychopathic ex-convict out for revenge while Nolte as a paranoid lawyer trying to escape the demon Niro.
The way that the character of Max Cady instills fear in the viewers mind is…
Have no clue how to start this review so just going to talk about the pros and cons of the film.
Pros: The acting was great, Tight screenplay and great heist scenes. The chemistry between Affleck and Hall was lovely. Jeremy Renner’s magnificent portrayal of an unhinged thief. The opening heist was the best heist. Good dialogues
Cons: The pacing was all over the place. The first act introduces the characters and sets up the story well. The middle act…
"Nothing can go wrong"
Westworld is one of those cool ultra violent films of the 70s. The basic story of the film is two friends visit Westworld, an amusement park made for adults. They roleplay as cowboys and have their fun there
All seems well until the androids malfunction and start to attack humans.
Overall, the film was amazing to watch. The story has this menacing atmosphere. The film has a great set design.
Well let me honest here, I am not a fan of Tom Holland. His rendition of Spiderman is not great. But when I saw this film I was amazed by his acting abilty. He carries this film and if he can appear in movies like this and not just blockbuster films then he can be a great actor that I would admire. Then comes the brilliant Bill Skarsgard who with a limited screen time dazzles us with his acting. A…
