    Antonio's Mistake

    ★★★★

Honestly I have nothing to say about Antoni’s Mistake that hasn’t already been said.

Antoni’s mistake is one of the most critically acclaimed movies of the decade (along with The Social Network, Parasite and Inception) and remains one of the most perfect movies I have ever seen. There are no words I can use to describe the actual masterpiece this is. I believe two young letterboxd users made this, whose names are Finklereviews and paulthegrub, and all my respect goes out to them.…

    Dante's Inferno

    Still isn’t Tenet.

All jokes aside, Dante’s Inferno is a fascinating movie, especially for its time. But this is a fascinating movie for its time, because this was the first feature movie. It is an absolute blast too. Barley misses out the ‘masterpiece’ tag.

I cannot believe this was made in 1911. The BBC weren’t even a think back then. The effects, the visual storytelling (if there is a story) all corners together to make an absolute gem of early…

    Reservoir Dogs

    ★★★★★

It’s really tough to be so typical but QT has now entered the chat of being in my Top 3 favourite Directors of all time.

So yeah, Reservoir Dogs is sick. I have had high expectations for this movie for ages and I’m glad to say that it didn’t just hit those expectations, it surpassed them. This film knocks it out of the park with literally everything it does, and I mean everything. That’s why I am giving this movie…

Footage on the Highway: a short film by Adam Lumir

    ★★★½

Good job Adam, I really liked this. I know that this was made before you watched Gummo and Trash Humpers, it still kind of has that gritty vibe which is cool. I especially like the shots on the bridge, I find that like the opening scene of Gummo and I think the constant zooms and ever moving camera (in this) give off a professionally-amateur feel. Which is a good thing, meaning it looks purposefully amateur. Maybe I’ve gotten everything wrong but still, I enjoyed this quite a lot, can’t wait to see your new one.
