I write about movies at Slashfilm, SyFy, ScreenCrush, The Hollywood Reporter, and sometimes here too.
This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
I enjoyed the first and last half-hours a lot. Visually inventive, smart, funny, and emotionally rich.
The middle half-hour hinges on a narrative choice that is, the more I think about it, fatally unwise and uncomfortable. 25 years to get to your first Black lead, and you have that character swap bodies with Tina Fey? Sigh.
