Joe’s review published on Letterboxd:
Yup, it’s definitely a Tarkovsky film. It changes between color and B&W. None of the characters like each other. They argue the whole time about humanity. Their ideas always clash. There is the beautiful women thrown in (plus dog). Can’t forget about the sweeping art shots. Then there is the main character losing his shit thrown in for good measure.
But it’s just sooooo good.
The 60s, 70s and 80s weren’t big/good enough for Tarkovsky. I feel it stifled his creativity and vision.

If you look hard enough, there is humor in his work. It’s not all black rainbows and piles of shit.
