Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood

Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood ★★★★½

Tarantino is always an event when it comes to film. He takes his time to construct grand stories with juicy characters. "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" is no exception to the artists work as each scene is rendered to perfection.
Interweaving plots filled to the brim with an all star ensemble ranks high in the Tarantino pantheon. What keeps it from the peak for me is something that plagued "The Hateful Eight" and that is smooth editing. With the passing of Tarantino's longtime editor, Sally Menke, in 2010 his films haven't flowed the same to me. Fred Raskin doesn't do a bad job with editing but I feel the 165 minute runntime in some sections. But overall that is so small compared to the massive success of "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood."
I can't wait to come back to this world and spend time with these characters. I will undoubtedly grow to love this film as much as any other Tarantino film.

P.S. Academy if there is a time to get Brad Pitt an Oscar for acting now is the time.
