Absolute masterpiece. Can't believe a film tackling mental illness with this amount of subtly, depth and authenticity came out over 40 years ago, it is WAY ahead of its time. One of the most beautifully written screenplays maybe ever. Timothy Hutton is astounding here, as are Mary Tyler Moore, Judd Hirsch and Donald Sutherland. I love how repressed the film feels throughout, until letting it all out in its third act.
There is no way any other movie from 2018 will be able to top this, I kid you not.
