MoviesOnTheReg’s review published on Letterboxd:
Ok plot, but mildly funny. Acting in the film is the only positive. Rogen does a great job with his dual role. Unfortunately, its overlooked by everything else in the film. Plot of the film, at first glance, seems like an opportunity, especially for Rogen, to run with. Not sure how or why, but the film doesn’t have the “Rogen Comedic” factor that Knocked Up or evening Superbad has. The tone of the film was more drama and less comedy than I anticipated. Overall, its Seth Rogen in a film that feels nothing like is style of work. As a fan of nearly all his previous films I wasn’t a fan of this.
