Blindspotting ★★★★½

Holy shit. This movie was a lot to handle. For a first time director he directed the shit out of this. From the focus of the character moments to the explosiveness of the slowly built conflict throughout. There also was a bit of Do the Right Thing that I felt which is a big compliment. The writing was great everything felt so natural and true never feeling over dramatized. Sometimes things do happen a bit conveniently and some humor is a bit too over the top or out of place, but the rest of the writing is fantastic. The cinematography is excellent with some great lighting and the editing is some of the best of the year. The sound design is very interesting pulling in sounds when you don't expect it bringing another aspect into the film. Daveed Diggs and Rafael Casal are both excellent and they have amazing chemistry. Top tier performances. I think I've stated my problems in the film, so just gonna leave it off on that this is a damn fantastic film.
