    Jupiter's Moon

A European art-house director makes a stylized sci-fi thriller So we get some blockbuster camera work and action sequences mashed into an allegory with deep conversations and unlikeable characters. Oh and the whole thing is over two hours. I actually was impressed by the camera work and judging by all the critic reviews that mention "visually stimulating" I'm not alone. The acting is also decent though I was going to criticize the casting of Zsombor Jéger because i thought he…

    I Married a Strange Person!

I mean if this was another short film I'd probably think it was decent (like I do with most Plympton shorts). It is still essentially a collection of shorts (including recycled shorts) just woven together in a fairly loose narrative. The whole thing feels sloppy and the jokes are all essentially the same (as is often the case with Bill Plympton) so it feels really tiring after a while. Maybe if you're a huge fan of Bill Plympton you'll enjoy this but I think for a lot of folks this will be a pretty bad experience.

No need to comment too much on a movie this famous. The cinematography, score and Eastwood are all amazing. This might be my personal favorite Leone movie. The final showdown is one of the greatest showdowns in cinema history. Outstanding throughout.

The score is amazing and the film is gorgeous to look at so already I'm sold. It's far less a narrative film than it is a poetic look at war and the victims not fighting. The war itself is replaced with nature (mist, rivers, birds), folk songs, and documentary footage. The aftermath of these moments are poetic vignettes dealing with various aspects of war. Just a great piece of experimental/poetic cinema.
