The World to Come ★★★★½

“I don’t know how to put into the words” to express my thoughts about the movie. Winter, Spring, Summer, Autumn… Abigail's life also changed like these seasons, before and after Tallie. First, there was only pain, suddenly hope appeared. Then astonishment and joy came. But in the end, only a bitter happiness left.

How elegantly handled, the difficulty of living and being a woman in the 1800s, love, passion, and grief. Each scene is drawn almost like a painting. How intimate the soft clarinet solo was playing in the background for prepare you to bittersweet end. But this was not an end. Because the palest ink was always stronger than the sharpest memory.
